Regarding Spoilers in Comments

This is yuNS~

Despite my mini-writeup on my policy regarding spoilers, there were ‘low-key’ spoilers in the comments of volume 11, prologue of KonoSuba, which I have deleted.

As a reminder, in the release directly before that, I wrote the following:

– Please refrain from posting spoilers to unreleased content on the website. You are free to search for spoilers and summaries elsewhere, but please do not post it in the comments for everyone to see, as not everyone enjoys being spoiled. I’ve had several complaints about this already.
– Also, do not send spoilers to my email, as I don’t read more than 2-3 chapters ahead to preserve the reading experience; I believe that knowing too much is bad for translation quality. (e.g. knowing what happens next will make me misidentify foreshadowing when there isn’t.)

In short, don’t post spoilers, no matter how “low-key” they are. They affect my translation speed/quality as well as the enjoyment of other readers on the site.

If this continues to be a trend, I will consider comment or IP bans.

  1. You probably should put this PSA in an actual translation, as a lot of people go directly to those and will likely never see this.

    1. I saw similar disclaimers in translation posts, so unless you are suggesting that they must be inserted in the middle of the translations, as in:

      “Kazuma did it again.” (Aqua)
[Note: please, no spoilers in the comments, not even minor, as I’ve only read 2-3 chapters beyond what’s translated; failure to do so may result in me stopping with the translations or chopping off your balls, whichever is easier.]
      “Y-You’re wrong!” (Kazuma)

      1. I’m at an internal conflict. F i thank you it might be seen as spam, if i don’t can be rude. Hahaha kidding.
Thanks yuns. Again, i really hope everyone with willingly cooperate.
        Take care.

  2. Welp, i must admit that in the first few days visiting the blog i did send some minor spoiler myself, and meant no harm. But ever since yuns asked to stop it and explained his side i never did it again.
Anyhow, i am extremely grateful for yuns to bring akashic records and konosuba for us, and thus i think its only understandable to follow his terms and stuff.

Even tho i dont do it anymore and it was only once, i apologize again for that mistake. And as i always like to make clear, thank you alot for your work and effort , yuns-san. Hope everyone can understand and follow your requests so we all can have a good relationship here .

    Cheers.

  3. Just goes to show how much people are looking forward to the next few chapters, I personally got even more invested in it when I got some spoilers thrown my way, but I think its more about the adventure, not the events. The adventure within the events, if you will.

“I’ll adventure in your event.” ~My very inebriated gaming buddy,

  4. Some people just love to spoil.

Same way they don’t eat (I want to believe) spoiled food, many of us don’t like spoiled novels.
